Pueblo Science Discover Research 2025 Event
As an undergraduate student, I often found it challenging to access research opportunities and express my passion for research to professors. I realized I wasn’t alone—many students around me faced similar barriers. Recognizing this need, our team at Pueblo Science – University of Toronto shared a collective commitment to support fellow undergraduates in navigating the path to research engagement.
This shared mission inspired us to organize an event aimed at connecting students with research opportunities across U of T and affiliated hospitals. We were thrilled to see over 100 students register, a clear sign that this initiative resonated with many in our community.
I was especially excited to contribute by helping secure a diverse panel of speakers, supporting event promotions, and coordinating online participation. Being part of this effort was incredibly meaningful—it allowed me to help fellow students who, like my team members and I in earlier years, were unsure of how to begin their research journeys.
As the U of T branch, we are proud to contribute to Pueblo Science’s broader mission of making STEM education more inclusive and accessible, both locally and globally.
Throughout this journey, my passion for connecting with others through science has only grown. It has been a rewarding and energizing experience, and I look forward to continuing to build a supportive community through initiatives like this. Let’s keep the momentum going and help even more students discover the joy of scientific exploration.
